Obituary of Colin McCallum

After a life well lived, Colin, aged 88, passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on May 2, 2013 due to complications from a stroke. Born August 15, 1924 in Eramosa Township to James Oliver and Annie (Halliday) McCallum. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, J. Elizabeth (Betty), children, Jane Ann (Robert) Neath, Liz Honsberger (Jim Harrison), C. Scott (Cheryl), and Sandra (Dave) Dumart. Also survived by his grandchildren, Erin (Randy Rattansingh) and Todd (Eliana) Neath, Andrew (Jasmine), Jeff, Craig and Matthew Dumart in addition to the light of his life, Elizabeth McCallum. Also survived by his great-grandchildren Kamryn and Taylor Rattansingh. Also remembered by Jim's children, Kristie Nutland, Jaime Harrison and Leanne Swanston. Predeceased by a sister Beth Sprague and husband Chester. Friends are invited to share their memories of Colin with his family during visitation at the Parkminster United Church, 275 Erb St. E., Waterloo on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. with a celebration of life commencing at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow.
