Obituary of Leonard Swainston

In his 101st year, Len passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Predeceased by his first wife, Freda in 1979 and siblings, Violet, Sidney, Robert, Queenie, Frank, Frederick, Mabel, and Grace. Len is survived by his sister, Ivy Watson (Vic) and family of Essex, England; his loving wife, Dorothy; son, Peter John and wife Peggy Ann; daughter, Alfrieda; two grandchildren, Lisa Marie and Grant Spencer; and step-children, Lyn and family, David and family, Scott and family, and Rosemary and Scott. Papa to Jennifer, Renée, Amanda, Megan, Scott and Old Papa to Ella, Roselyn, and Jane. At Len's request, cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
