Dear Clarene and Eric, We share our condolences with you. We do not so much grieve his death for we know that now his suffering is over. We grieve the loss of his friendship, his smile and his love of life. Clarene, we remember the special moments when we visited you and Donny in your home and the week we were together in Arizona. You have filled your life with meaningful relationships and friends. Your love and friendship with Donny was meaningful to us all. Susie and I have been enriched because of our friendship with your family. Who would have thought it when we first met in June 1968. Clarene, we share these moments with you and pray that the God of all comfort will continue to bring near to you the people who are able to provide the care that you need. Eric, we share with you our condolences. In many respects we all began to grieve Donny's death after he had his stroke. He required a lot of person a lot of personal care and you were there to provide it for him. Thanks so much. We look forward to seeing you next Thursday if possible. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Donny's life and cherish your memories of him. Peace, David and Susie Shantz

Uncle Donny, you will be missed. You had a heart of gold in many ways. You taught me to polka when I was young. In later years you once said to me now I have a hard time keeping up with you whenever we had the opportunity to get to dance. In the last few years, life was not fair but you always had that smile even though you could not response to us. You will not be forgotten and one day we will all be together again.

Dear Uncle Don: I have the fondest memories of you and your motorboat roaring around Purdy Lake so many years ago. Those were such good summers and many wonderful memories made to last a lifetime when I would go with you and Ray and Loreen for holidays. You will always be remembered for your wonderful sense of humour and mischevious chuckle. So sorry that the last years were not more kind to you and you were made to endure the ravages of stroke. You were a fun-uncle and will be greatly missed.
