Obituary of Emma Ilgauds

It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of our beloved "Omie" who passed away peacefully at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira on May 7, 2013 at the age of 94. It is also with deep gratitude that we celebrate her extraordinary life. Family was everything to her and she was everything to us. Loving mother of Brigitte Ernewein (Allan Scott), Willi (Ruth-Ann) Ilgauds, Georg (Jacqueline) Ilgauds. Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey (Andrea) Ernewein, Robert (Renee) Ernewein, Timothy (Jennifer) Ernewein, Jennifer (Mike) Palmer, Connie (Paul) Godwin, Jonathan (Becky) Ilgauds, Mark Ilgauds, Heidi (Robert) Bazinet and step-grandchildren Alison (Joe) Gelata and Megan (Nelson) Bagley. Her life's riches came in the form of her 18 great-grandchildren. Out of 19 siblings, she is survived by her loving 4 sisters Berta, Greta, Herta, Erika and 2 brothers Albert and Willi as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. Emma was predeceased by her dear husband Georg and to her great sadness by a grandson Benjamin Ernewein and a great grandson Reese Ernewein. Friends are invited to share their memories of Emma with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Linda Ashfield presiding. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
