Obituary of Ronald Schmidt
Ron passed away, surrounded by family, in the I.C.U. of Grand River Hospital on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the age of 58.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Allensen); his mother, Rose Schmidt; step-daughter, Pauline; step-son, Steve; grandson, R.J.; brother, Gerald Schmidt and wife Phyllis; and sister, Brenda Himburg and husband Wayne. Ron is remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Ron is also survived by Karen's brothers and sisters, Lloyd and Bernice Allensen, Marlene and Joe Bogensberger, Larry Allensen, Reta Allensen, and Linda and Ron Witt.
Predeceased by his father, Edward Schmidt.
Ron was employed with Springbrook Farms (near St. Agatha) for 36 years. He was a member of the Polish Legion, Branch 412 Kitchener.
Cremation will take place. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Ron with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The memorial service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m., Friday. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room.
