Dear Esther,Anne,Alastair and families: Thank you for the moving tribute to your wonderful father today. Dr Simpson was an excellent anesthetist who always placed patient care and safety first. He developed our protocol for Malignant Hyperthermia when it first became a dangerous event during anesthetics. I always enjoyed working with him especially with the children. We always felt we had a wonderful surgical day if we could get our little patients off to sleep with out crying and stress and have them wake up happy. We had many rewarding days working in the OR together. He taught me so much about pediatric anesthesia and my love for caring for children in the OR. Now as I teach anesthesia to my students, I always mention my great teacher. God rest his soul and may peace be with all of you..take care from a grateful OR nurse...Marj S
