My memory of Kay is about the times we spent talking about our days in Toronto. We shared many experiences and recalled favourite places as we both lived in the west end of Toronto.

I loved talking to Kay about each of times in Toronto. Then when she retired, I was awed by her desire to travel all over in a truck pulling her accommodations with her! How inspiring! And her smile!

I am one of several privileged support workers who had the pleasure of visiting with Kay regularly over the past 3 years. I have enjoyed getting to know Kay, not only as a client but as a friend too. I will always remember and share her love of burnt toast with marmalade. Kay had a warm smile and an infectious laugh. She was a very intelligent, wise and classy lady. And honest, even to a fault at times. She was a great listener and a

Kay was a great teacher & was very patient when I was learning the old switchboard in 1988. We didn't have headsets, we didn't have "Direct In Dial", we didn't have voicemail. We answered an old (huge) black keyboard that handled one call at a time. I remember hitting the 'call waiting' button and almost fainted. It read 33 calls in the que. She simply said to me 'you can only take one call at a time so don't panic'.......too late I already had a sweat break out. She was patient, she was kind but she was direct and stern also. A lovely lady with loving traits. I will miss her, I wish I had visited her more often in the last year. Norma M.

I have only known Kay for just over a year and there was never a dull moment when I was with Kay. Her vibrant blue eyes and authoritative voice were the external components of her lively personality. She shared stories with me and would fondly tell me about Peter and the ballet.

Kay always had her officers best interest at heart. She was one of those special caring dispatchers who genuinely cared that each and everyone of us made it home safely every night.
I would like to extend a very special thank you to the family for sharing her with us.

I remember Kay as one of my favorite voices to hear dispatching when I started a shift at work. She was always looking after us and had a friendly caring voice which was great to hear in the wee hours of the night. I hadn't seen her since she retired but remember her fondly.
