Obituary of Evelyne Dyck

Peacefully passed from this life into Heaven to be with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at age 53. Beloved wife of Gerry for 28 years; cherished mother of Jesse, Rachel Molly, and Rebecca Jane; and loved sister of Linda McBurney, Waldy Derksen and Shelley Derksen. Daughter of Victor and Elvira Derksen and daughter-in-law of Nettye and the late Abe Dyck. Evy will also be greatly missed by the entire Derksen and Dyck families as well as community and neighbors in St. Jacobs and Winnipeg. Predeceased by infant son Jacob Victor. Evy was a member of Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church and a longtime volunteer Strings teacher at St. Jacobs Public School. Friends are invited to share their memories of Evy with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate her life and faith will be held at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church, 245 Lexington Rd, Waterloo on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the church.
