i love and miss you so so much. I can still remember when you would come up to the sault and every time i came over to my grandparents, just minutes before my sister and i arrived you would put loonies and toonies in the gravel that was in the drive way for us to find. all though you had a prosthetic leg you never let that get in the way of things. You always made jokes and were as happy as can be, my favorite joke of all time was when you would tell everyone you worked at IHOP, because you only had one leg. Dispite all of the stuff you have been through you never let it get the best of you.

Dear Richard. Sorry I missed out on writing something for the first Anniversary of your passing. I was in Punta Cana with Marlene for our niece Heather's wedding. I will never forget being at your bedside that Saturday with Marlene, Duane & Donna. Just watching you lying there in bed on life support was devastating. I think of you a lot & pray for you also. I truly hope you are with Mom & Dad & enjoying your new surroundings. Rest in Peace brother! Love you

Richard it is so hard to believe you aren't with us any more. I think about you often and even though I am glad you are no longer in pain, i wish you were still here with us. Richard, my dear brother, these past few years we really had got to know each other a lot better, and now you're gone! I feel so bad for you, as you really had a very "rough go" the last 12 years. Richard, I am really going to miss your visits to the Sault, either planned or unexpectedly . Also , going out for ice cream, Vanilla! was your favorite. You always made a point of seeing Lois and I when we were down in Burlington, and bringing us our order of sausage and perohys.You are now without pain and with mom and dad, I guess you can now organize a Euchre tournament in heaven.
