Obituary of Dorothy Snider

Dorothy passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener on December 27, 2013 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Paul Snider (2009). Loving mother to David and his wife Amy. Cherished grandma of Jillian, Katie and Kean. Dear sister of Robert and his wife Janice of Freeport, Illinois. Predeceased by her brother James and parents Elmer and Irene Byler. After a short teaching career in Tennessee and Elmira, Dorothy worked for MCC in New Hamburg. She was involved in the development of Ten Thousand Village stores across Canada. She had a passion for crafts, needlework and quilting and volunteering many hours creating, with various Mennonite women's groups. She was an active and involved member at Preston Mennonite Church serving on many committees and sharing her creative talents. Friends are invited to share their memories of Dorothy with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2013 at Preston Mennonite Church, 791 Concession Rd., Cambridge at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the spring at Hagey Cemetery.
