Obituary of Norman Lange
Peacefully, at St. Mary's General Hospital on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of Mary Jean Lange. Lovingly remembered by children, Marie (Brian) Zinken, Peter (Barbara) Lange; step-children, Nelson (Lorrie) Grigg and Kellee (Glenn) Hitchcock; grandchildren, Christine Zinken, Emily and Erin Lange; step-grandchildren, Brandon, Alanna and Hayley Grigg. Survived by brother, Eric (Sylvia) Lange of Edmonton and sisters, Bertha Lange of Edmonton and Lydia Kemp of Millet, Alberta.
Predeceased by his parents, Emil and Christine (Pohl) Lange; brothers, Emil and Walter Lange; sisters, Martha Arndt and Dorothy Cameron; and wife, Helen Lange.
Norman was born in Millet, Alberta and educated at Concordia College, University of Alberta, University of Saskatchewan, and Waterloo Lutheran Seminary. He served in the Rankin Parish near Pembroke, in Woodstock, and for 32 years at Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Waterloo. After retirement, he continued to serve part-time at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Gadshill.
Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Pastor Norman during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. A reception and a time to visit with the family will immediately follow the service in the church hall. A private family interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
