Obituary of Audrey Shirk

Audrey Shirk passed away peacefully at the age of 82, at Freeport Health Center on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Beloved wife and best friend of Grant Shirk for over 60 years. Devoted mother of Dan, Jeff (Maureen) and Jennifer and John Witzel. Special Grandma of Amanda and Ben Underwood, Jason and Michelle Shirk, Erika Shirk (Mat), Amy and Nathan Johnston, Meghan Witzel (Steve) and Kelly Witzel (Benji). Proud great-grandma of Samuel and Jakob Underwood. Audrey was a passionate teacher and an avid golfer, knitter, bridge player and volunteer. Friends are invited to share their memories of Audrey with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at Calvary Memorial United Church, 91 Gruhn St., Kitchener, on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Lynne Bandy officiating. Please join the family following the service for a time of remembrance and refreshments.
