Uncle Jim always inspired me. To my way of thinking, he was the coolest & hippest. When I was in high school, I took a part-time job at a high-end men's clothing store owned by the then legendary, Lou Myles. One of the perks of the job, was that we got to order made-to-measure suits at cost. A great deal at the time, and a great way to dress like Uncle Jim. Whenever I had the chance, I'd don a new suit and make the drive to K-W just to share with Uncle Jim. I'd walk into the store and make my way to his tailoring desk where I would inevitably find him sitting cross-legged on the bench, hand stitching a hem or rebuilding a jacket. He'd take one look at my new outfit, smile and then offer to take it in here or there. Sometimes, he'd provide an opinion on the shirt, belt, even the shoes. I loved those visits and I'll cherish the memories. Uncle Jim left me with an appreciation for style and class. He was one of a kind.
