Obituary of Sylvia Uuemae

UUEMAE, SYLVIA GLADYS (CROTHALL), a long-time resident of Sudbury, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, in Kitchener on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in her 89th year. Cherished wife of Henry (Heinrich) Uuemae pre-deceased (2003). Loving mother of Sonja MacKinnon (Brian) of Kincardine and Roger (Anita) of Mississauga. Proud granny to Morgan MacKinnon, Guy Zito (Triina), Andrew MacKinnon (Corri) and Kelly-Anne MacKinnon. Great-grandmother to Joe Francis, Cullen, Charlotte, Alexis, Austin, Sierra, Kaylie and Lauryn. Auntie and great-auntie to many in Sudbury, Cambridge and England. Her happiest and proudest times were adoring and spending time with her family. Sylvia truly loved her husband and sorely missed him. She had a great passion for, and was active in sports and dedicated many years ensuring that her children were able to train and compete in figure skating. We will miss her spirited personality and will continue with stories of her forever. May she rest in peace. A celebration of life and interment will take place in Kitchener in the spring.
