Connolly, Mary Kathleen (nee Gallant)
Passed away peacefully, at Lanark Heights, on January 22, 2014 in her 82nd year. Mary dedicated her life to supporting her family, whom she loved so dearly. As a wife, mother, and grandmother Mary was always present with her quiet devotion, love, and support. We have become who we are because of you and you will remain in our hearts forever. We will miss you but we know that you are now in a better place.
Mary received her bookkeeping designation in Sydney Nova Scotia and had a successful career with Schulz Concrete and Rosen Metal as well as other firms in Waterloo Region.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Dennis Blaine Connolly in 2010. Mary is survived by her beloved children, Jim (Esther Enns), Michael (Cathie), Denise (Joe) Woynillowicz, Deb Connolly (Jamie Gibson) and Blaine (Pat), her loving grandchildren, Christopher Disher (Andrea), Kyle, Beth (Austin), Bridget and Darcy Connolly, Amanda (Scott) Downey and Mark Woynillowicz, Sarah Rathwell, Natasha and Kaitlyn Connolly as well as her cherished great-grandchildren Landon and Carleigh Disher, Abigail and Ava Downey.
Also survived by her brothers Jim (Chris) Gallant and Gerald Gallant. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna (Wilfred) Campbell, Monica (David) Lahey, Sister Sarah Gallant, CSM, and her special twin sister Margaret (Jean-Louis) Houle, John Connolly, Paddy Gillis, Pat Connolly, Kaye Connolly, Larry Whitehead, Murray Matheson, and Joe Culligan. Mary will also be remembered by her extended family, Barbara Matheson, Ann Culligan, Louise Whitehead, Rev. Owen Connolly, Bette Connolly, Eileen Gillis and Leah Connolly.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Mary with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark's RC Church, 55 Driftwood Drive, Kitchener on Monday, January 27 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Owen Connolly and Rev. Don Sanvido concelebrating. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall. Cremation will take place with a family interment service at Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener.
