Obituary of Juliet Vincent
Julie married her loving husband, John Vincent in Bournemouth England on February 27, 1960 and immigrated to Canada on September 8, 1966 with her young family. Beloved mother to Timothy and his wife Guylaine, Lee, Michael and his wife Sherilyn, Sharon and her fiancé Gary. Loving grandmother to Jacob, Kaleb, Noah, Lexis, and Chloe. Julie is survived by her sisters Stella and her husband Bob Hurst, Kay Smith and her partner Mike, brother-in-law Barry Vincent and his wife Hazel,sister-in-law Maureen and her husband John Webber and several nieces and nephews who all reside in England.
Julie dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, as well as to the community.
She was a dedicated volunteer with Kitchener Minor Soccer for many years, before becoming its first employee. She moved on from that position to a career at the University of Waterloo until her retirement.
Upon retirement Julie learned to play golf, and twice enjoyed the thrill of a hole-in-one. Julie and husband John also continued to volunteer their time to Kitchener Minor soccer. Julie was a selfless person who always put her family before herself. Even towards the end while battling this terrible disease she was always more concerned about those around her than herself.
A special thanks to her friends Tim and Mary Clark of England, Hugh and Donnie Cameron, Tommy and Mae Gibson and Jim and Anne Tait. Also a special thanks to Dr. Bodkin, Dr. Pace, Dr. Ward, the nurses on 5N, the CCAC staff, Nadine and Bridget and all the staff and volunteers at Lisaard House.
