Obituary of Barbara Lawson

LAWSON, Barbara Ann B.A. MSW Passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at age 76. Beloved wife of David for over 52 years; loving mother of Ted (Lynn), Rob, and Ian (Kim); cherished grandmother of Scott, Ben, Paris and Zach; dear sister of John Whaley (Cindy). Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Helen Whaley. Barbara was a graduate of the Master of Social Work program at the University of Toronto and practiced as a Marriage and Family Therapist at Interfaith Pastoral Counselling Centre and later in private practice. Barbara also taught in the social work programs at both Conestoga College and Wilfrid Laurier University. A memorial service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
