My sincere condolences to the family on the passing of such an inspirational matriarch as Dana. Dana and Jim were great friends of mom and dad and we often heard how much better the table manners were of Dana's children than Ian, Jane and me. Wonderful memories of the Christmas Eve parties over the years. Just saw Dana a couple months ago and she looked as beautiful as ever.

We are sorry we are unable to come to Waterloo for the visitation. We had a very special place in our hearts for Dana, one of the most beautiful people both outside and inside we knew. Her love of life and constant smile will long be remembered. We always recall recanting the past year's events, first with she and Jim and then just Dana but always enjoying "bloodies". Our last lunch together on the dock at the marina and the fun time we had this fall when we went to Waterloo and took her out to lunch. At first she was perplexed but soon recalled who we were and seemed so thrilled to reconnect. Wish we had made time to do it again. We will miss her but need only recall one of her stories and she will be with us!

We were all saddened to hear of Dana's passing. It is funny how our families connected on three generations: Jamie and me, then Tom and Bryn and most recently my Mom and Dana. A long life well lived is worth celebrating, despite the sorrow a death brings. Dana and Jim were good friends of my husband Wes and I. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. Wes and Jim met as patients at Christie Street Hospital after WW2. Jim met Dana when she came to visit Wes as he was in the next bed . Shortly thereafter she began visiting Jim. I have many fond memories of her.

Only the fondest of memories do I hold for Dana. She was, from the very beginning of time remembered, known endearingly as Aunt Dana to we KE Butler children. Your family lived across the street on Avondale and the friendship that grew between Dana and Beverley was eternal. It might just be in a renewal phase at this moment. The Forbes family's thoughts and prayers are with the Snyder clan as you celebrate a life well lived. Dana was one of our mother's very best friends and was well loved by all who knew her. Dana was a shining example of a positive attitude, adventurous spirit and it was always a pleasure to spend time together.
