Obituary of David John Mallon

Passed away at home surrounded by his family on November 19th, 2015 at the age of 72. Dear husband of Desiree for 45 years. Proud father of Jill (Paul Kemp) and Glenda, and much loved grandfather of James, Audrey, and Annika Kemp. John's quick wit and constant jokes will be sadly missed by his sister Iris Hewitt (Roy) of Tandragee, Northern Ireland, his brother, Noel Mallon (Diane) of Edmonton, Alberta, and all his extended family and friends. John was born in Portadown, Northern Ireland, and emigrated to Canada in 1976. He was a dedicated employee of G A Masonry for 20 years, where he was affectionately known as "Irish". John's family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, November 22 from 2-5 p.m. A memorial service will be held at All Saints' Anglican Church, 400 Northfield Drive West, Waterloo on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow at the church. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Mary DeCarolis and the many dedicated health care providers who supported John during his illness. Condolences for the family or memorial donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the Salvation Army may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
