Obituary of Violet Cressman
After 98 years of a full and joyful life, on October 21, 2016, Vi received her final wish to “sleep the way Home”.
Dear mother of Rob Cressman and Doug (Nan) Cressman. Cherished grandmother of Sarah (Annette) and Paul (Rebecca). Loving great-grandmother of Ava, Arlo, Clyde and Pascale. Beloved sister of Grace Cressman. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Cecil Cressman (2000), her parents John and Eva Francis, brother John “Ed” Francis and step-son Jim.
Vi’s gift for friendship and hospitality shone in her hosting at Chesley Lake Camp, welcoming friends, family, and B&B guests at home until the age of 89, encouraging new residents at Parkwood Suites, and maintaining long friendships through First Mennonite Church. She will be deeply missed by many.
