Obituary of Elaine Marguerite Grosz

(nee Oswald) A resident of Trinity Village Studios in Kitchener, Elaine passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the K-W Campus of Grand River Hospital. She was born September 2, 1923 in Kitchener, daughter of the late Clarence Oswald and Caroline nee Chesney. Loving wife for 65 years to the late Rev. Roy Norman Grosz who predeceased her in 2012 and infant son, Robert in 1953. Mother of Jane Grosz of Waterloo, Philip Grosz of Kitchener, and Nancy Bergey of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by granddaughter Leigh (Grant) Lovell, great-grandsons William and Brian, and great-granddaughters Elleigh-Jane and Waverley. Survived by brother-in-law, Ken DeCoppel. Predeceased by sisters Doris Bornhold (Robert) and Marian DeCoppel. Predeceased by son-in-law Brian Bergey in 2010, and Jane’s friend Debbie Gordon in 2015. Elaine always looked forward to and enjoyed family celebrations, especially when the great-grandchildren were with her. A funeral service to honour Elaine’s life and faith will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joanne Peppler officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Room. Private family interment at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener.
