Obituary of Shirley Winifred Beaudry

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Raymond for 64 years. Loving mother of Beverley (Vaughn) Embro-Pantalony (Burlington), Diane (Robert) Miller (Kitchener), and Ronald (Jessica) Beaudry (Kelowna). Proud and loving Nana of Ashley (Marty) Stuehler, Dustin (Robyn Warsylewicz) Miller, Zachary (Caitlin Moser) Miller and Alexa (Brian Heffernan) Bradshaw. Blessed great Nana of Emma Grace and Jackson Simon Stuehler. Survived by her sister Noreen Northcott of Regina. Shirley was born March 27, 1929 in Saskatoon, daughter of the late Winifred (1974) and Rupert Campbell (1965). She was always proud of her western roots. Shirley married Raymond and they began their lifelong journey together living across Canada in Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, and later settling in Waterloo. While in Vancouver Shirley volunteered with the local chapter of the Kinettes (Kinsmen) and served as President. In Waterloo, she rekindled her enjoyment of skiing joining the Chicopee Ski Club where she was a founding member of the Chicopee Ski Friends. For many years she volunteered at Franklin Public School assisting with both the hot lunch and reading programs. Shirley was an active member at Church Of The Holy Saviour and volunteered with Operation Christmas Child, Canada. Shirley will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and she will be fondly remembered for her kindness, gentle elegance, enduring faith and devotion to family and her lovely smile. Special thanks to the staff of the Grand River Hospital renal clinic, the GRH staff on the 8th floor and the staff at Chartwell Westmount Retirement Residence.
