February 18, 1939 - May 7, 2017

It is with deep sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of Peter John Moore on May 7th, 2017. A wonderful husband, father, brother and Grandad. Peter leaves behind a legacy of his loving wife Jill, three sons: Adam (Angela), David (Kristine),Darren, and grand-children: Holly, Joshua, Hannah, Lauren and brother Stanley.

Peter was born in Wimbledon, England and at age 27 he left for Canada with Jill. Together, they created a new and wonderful life for their three boys. After retiring from a very successful 30 year career at Bell Canada, Peter and Jill built their home on the river in Owen Sound. He spent his time enjoying many walks along the river while watching Salmon, curling, spending time with family and of course, golf.

Peter made many great friends over the years in the various places he lived; everyone who knew Peter just loved him. His energy, good humour, sincere and caring interest in others were simply infectious.

Peter passed peacefully Sunday morning with Jill and his boys at his side. We are grateful to have Peter as a part of our lives, proud of what he accomplished and thankful for the lessons he has passed on to his sons and grandchildren. He will be missed more than you can imagine. Peter’s life will be celebrated with a private family service at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., www.erbgood.com in Waterloo on Friday followed by a gathering in the evening for friends and family at Peter’s eldest son’s home, Adam.
