I was sad to hear of Bob's passing. I will always be grateful to him and Joyce for their leadership of Chimo, the First United Church youth group which was for so many of us like family when we were growing up. Bob was always so much fun and full of life. He will be missed and remembered by the Chimo generation!

We were so saddened to hear about Mr. Rankin's passing. He and Mrs. Rankin were long time family friends of our parents' and the weekends and summers spent at the island and at our cottage in Amberley will never be forgotten. Our deepest condolences to the Rankin family and friends.

My sincerest sympathy to your family. I enjoyed every visit with your Dad and Mom.
The stories your Dad shared are now memories for me. The piano playing...singing...The dance on the way back from the mailbox..Lawrence Welk Show...Old movies...Eating chocolate...Growing tomato plants and the Cosco shopping trips when Bob stripped... and the sharing of "The Little Red Book."
Just to name a few.
Your Love always was present.
Your Dad was very proud of all of you and your siblings.
Marg.. Keep tap dancing...watch your knee
Dave.. Keep renovating cottages..watch out for
uneven floors..Trip hazzard
Diane..Keep the play performances going..
I always had fun receiving a
complimentary ticket to a play that was
over.
Thank You for Your Warmth
My Prayers are with All of You

I was so sorry to read that Bob had passed. I had the privilege of working with Bob at North American Life for many many years. We always looked forward to Bob's jokes and smiling face. He always left us with a grin on our faces. He and Joyce were such a lovely, caring couple. He has left a void in the Rankin family, but leaves many fond memories with people who knew him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Diane, Marg, Dave and family during this sad time. I will always remember Mr Rankin for his quick witt, silly songs, funny stories and most of all his loving and caring nature towards Joyce. The music he played on the piano will forever live in our hearts. A wonderful man who I am so honoured to have had the pleasure of knowing. Bob and Joyce will always have a special
place in our hearts. Julie, Steve and Tia Inkster

To the Rankin Family
Bob was such a wonderful man-kind and so funny. He used to joke all the time and there were many times he made me laugh.
Such a kind soul, who shone a wonderful light, along with Joyce in the Waterloo Region. He will be so missed by so many.
He is in God's arms now and with Joyce, and that is wonderful.
For the family, you will miss him terribly, and for those days ahead when you struggle please know that we are keeping you in our thoughts and in our prayers.
All God;s Blessings

To Bob's family members: I was very sorry to hear that Bob had passed away; of course, he will be together with Joyce now. He was the consummate "jokester", jolly and upbeat, giving of his musical talents at different Homes, and always cheerful.
We will miss his smiling face on Arbour Lane at Luther Village, as he and Joyce enjoyed their home at Garden Villa #5 for many years. I remember his nimble fingers at the piano for the Sunshine Centre sing-a-long, entertaining these seniors for many years.
My sincere condolences to his children, the girls, and especially Dave and Jane. I will keep you all in my heart in the next few weeks------------
