A woman of deep faith, she memorized many scripture passages and taught Bible School and neighbourhood children’s evangelism. In their later years, Douglas and Greta moved to Waterloo and attended Bethel Bible Chapel. Greta loved nature in all its forms, especially birds and flowers. As well as gardening, she enjoyed camping in the tent trailer with its access to nature trails. Knitting was a pleasurable pastime and she could often be found with knitting needles in hand.
