Obituary of Antoinette Cornelia Weiss
Passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital in her 96th year. Loving wife of the late John Weiss (1983). Dear mother of John of Waterloo, Geraldine Ahrens of Waterloo and mother-in-law of Wendy of Waterloo. Loving grandmother of Rebecca Kieswetter (Kory), Sarah Colquhoun (Ken), Christina Olley (Ian), Michael Ahrens (Ashley), Amanda Muzak (Warren), Dave Weiss (Nicole) and Jenn Weiss (Jamie Snider). Loving Great Oma to Sam, Molly, Ben, Vanessa, Travis, Peyton, Brooklynn, Olivia, Liam, Hazel and Owen. Remembered by her brother Jo van der Meyden (Betty), sister Truus Sanders and sister-in-law Sister Anne Therese. Predeceased by her son Corry, her son-in-law John, her parents Cornelis and Maria van der Meyden, her mother and father-in-law Joseph and Josephine Weiss, one brother, four sisters, five brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. Anne loved the time she spent at the Waterloo Adult Recreation Centre and she will always be remembered for her love of cooking and knitting.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Anne with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday December 11 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s R.C. Church, 240 Hemlock Street Waterloo on Tuesday December 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Walter as Celebrant. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Reception to follow at St. Michael’s R.C. Church Hall.
