You know you've left an authentic legacy when it's revealed in the stories, unique memories, that special feeling you left imprinted on those who loved you. Regardless of culture, background, lifestyle or other compass used to judge; I hope my dad's passing ignites a time for reflection and a shift in finding compassion for others.

Dear Family,
With heavy hearts at this time, we send our sincere condolences from across the miles during the passing of our dear friend Mel. Mel's open heart and kind manner will never be forgotten and we reminisce about all of the fun and entertaining nights days/nights on the farm and then gatherings at the house. We enjoyed listening to his many stories and of course tasting his latest batch of smoked summer sausage which he was always so willing to share and proud of his results. His love for Mary was relentless and be blessed that they are together again for another chapter of life.
While we share in your sadness, we celebrate Mel's life as he touched many hearts... The Phillips (Western Canada) Krista, David, Brandon and Dylan Phillips

Steve, Ken, Ann, Bob, Scott and Brenda, our condolences to you and your family.
Your dad was an amazing man, and it’s comforting knowing that he is reunited with the love of his life, Aunt Mary. Your dad didn’t just raise, nurture and love his own children and grandchildren. He was also a mentor to many. He was a mentor who really didn’t have to say anything. All we had to do is watch and learn. His actions spoke louder than words. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on.
God bless Uncle Mel, Aunt Mary, and God bless you. xoxo
Kathy and Kevin
