It is with great honour that I can say that Kurt and I were pals. His mischievous grin, his great sense of humour and his sense of rhythm fit well with my querky personality. We shared many private discussions about life in general and in Sudbury, about fishing and boating on Ramsay Lake. I talked endlessly about family to which Kurt would grin. His strength was like none other and carried him thru his life....even last week he would not let me go! Kurt was a husband, a brother an uncle and granfather but closer than all these;he was a dad to my friend Connie.
She is the reason that I was gifted her fathers time, time that I will always treasure. He loved you Connie, I know that it was hard to see at times but he did. My deepest condolences and gratitude to you my friend and to Elizabeth.
To the rest of the family and to others that worked with him and for him I send you my sincere condolences as well. He will greatly be missed...and the song edelweiss will never be the same....it will always be Kurts song.
Fly high Kurt !
