Obituary of André Anderson
Passed away peacefully on Friday January 26th,2024 in his 96th year at University Gates in Waterloo.
Cherished husband of 72 years to Raymonde (Fillion). She was, and ever will be, his one true love and light of his life. He loved his beautiful bride fiercely to the very end.
Proud father of 3 children: Michel (Bobbie), Suzanne (Gervais), and Claude (Lola).
Loving “Grandpapa” of 6 grandchildren: Shannon (Ken), Claude (Lesley), Meagan (Chris), Andrea (David), Stephanie (Pierre Yves), and Ana (Carlos), and 2 step-grandchildren Nathalie (Mathieu) and Jerome.
Doting “Bubba” to 15 great-grandchildren: Eric, Sarah, Emily, Myla, Dash, Hazel, Malena, Raffael, Rosalie, Adam, Victoria, Ellie, Josh, Charles and Alexandre.
An avid golfer and world traveler, he started his career at Mutual Life of Canada in 1946 in Quebec City and retired in 1990 in Waterloo Ontario. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and he died as he lived, on his own terms, with an unwavering love for his Anderson Clan. The family would like to give special thanks to Frida and Rachel for their compassion and care.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment service will be held in Rimouski, Quebec in the late spring of 2024. As expressions of sympathy, the family request donations be made to the Waterloo Region Community Foundation – Robert Denomme Fund or the St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation, through www.erbgood.com.

Décédé paisiblement vendredi le 26 janvier 2024 dans sa 96 ième année à Université Gates à Waterloo, ON.
Époux bien-aimé de Raymonde (Fillion) pendant 72 ans, elle était et sera toujours l’unique véritable amour de sa vie. Il a aimé fidèlement sa jolie « jeune mariée » jusqu’à la fin.
Très fier papa de 3 enfants: Michel (Bobbie), Suzanne (Gervais), et Claude (Lola).
“Grand-papa” adorait ses 6 petits-enfants: Shannon (Ken), Claude (Lesley), Meagan (Chris), Andréa (David), Stéphanie (Pierre-Yves), Ana (Carlos), et 2 petits-enfants par alliance: Nathalie (Mathieu) et Jérôme.
“Bubba” adorait aussi ses 15 arrière-petits-enfants: Éric, Sarah, Emily, Myla, Dash, Hazel, Malena, Raffael, Rosalie, Adam, Victoria, Ellie, Josh, Charles et Alexandre.
Grand passionné de golf et des voyages, André débuta sa carrière à la Mutuelle du Canada en 1946 dans la ville de Québec, et pris sa retraite en 1990 à Waterloo, Ontario. Sa famille était sa plus grande fierté et joie. Il est décédé comme il a vécu, selon ses propres volontés avec un amour inébranlable pour son Clan Anderson.
La famille aimerait remercier spécialement Frida et Rachel pour leur compassion et leurs soins.
Suite au décès, son corps fut incinéré. Un service d’enterrement privé aura lieu à Rimouski, QC au printemps 2024.
