Obituary of Philip Arthur Pitcher

PITCHER, Philip “Phil” Arthur

1954 - 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Philip Arthur Pitcher, (69), who suffered a heart attack and passed away on April 4, 2024, with his family by his side.

Phil was a fun-loving, generous, charming man, loved and respected by many. He made friends instantly wherever he went. He was known for his infectious smile, positive energy, and quick-wit. His favourite things to do were spending time with family, travelling, model railways, and singing karaoke at the Rose & Thistle (the pub he owned with his wife, Audrey). Told by many that he gave the best hugs. He will be dearly missed.

Beloved husband and best friend to Audrey for 42 years, a loving father to Mike (Amy), Liz (Jeremy), and Sally (Chris). A dear grandfather (Granda) to Jake, Avery, Abby, Brady, Bodhi, and Tessa. Will be forever remembered by his siblings Pauline, Maggie, Liz, and Bill. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Audrey (nee Gillbert) Pitcher.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In memory of Phil, condolences for the family and donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home at www.erbgood.com
