Helen Frey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 6, 2024, at Forest Heights Long Term Care in her 91^st year.

Dear mother of Bob Frey (Steve Bowden) of Cambridge, Wendy Petsch (John) of Kitchener and Chris Frey (Yvonne Diehl) of Stratford. Loving grandmother to Melissa (Garry), Eric (Paula), Duane (Cherie), Diana, Katie (Phil), Jonathan (Asma), Erica (Mac) and Tristan. Great grandmother to Ethan, Max, Hazel, River, Rowan, Kai, Lincoln and Wyatt.

Fondly remembered by her sister, Diane Ferrier (Roy), sisters in law Linda Schack, and Carole Frey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by her husband, Douglas Frey (2018) after 67 years of marriage, her daughter Susan Lehman (2001), her brothers Bob and Donny along with her parents Walter and Florence Schack.

Helen retired after many years of service with Dutch Boy Food Markets in the non food / Pro Hardware department.

Thank you to the staff on Gibbon House at Forest Heights for their exceptional care over the years for our mother with a special thank you to PSW Hewot for her loving care. She will be sadly missed by her room mate Mary.

Helen was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Helen’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home at 171 King St. S, Waterloo on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Private family interment at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
