Obituary of Elisabeth Nagy

Passed away peacefully at Sunnyside Home LTC, Kitchener on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Nagy. Cherished mother of the late Elizabeth Wakem (2023) and mother-in-law of James Wakem. Loving grandmother of Kathy (Ron) Finney and Kevin (Diane) Wakem. Cherished great-grandmother of Justin and Dylan Finney and Cara and Ashley Wakem.

Predeceased by her parents Johann and Elisabeth Koch.

Elisabeth loved her family more than anything else.  Always looking her best in the way she dressed and having her hair done just right.  Even though she spent most of her adult life in Canada, she was very proud of her German and Hungarian heritage.  She was a member of the Schwaben Club in Kitchener for many years and enjoyed traveling on organized group trips.  Enjoyed treating her family to dinner out and often wanted to go to the Concordia Club which was next door to the Concordia Residence where she lived.    

Special thanks to all the staff at Sunnyside Home, especially Ross Graham (Recreation Therapist) who was a huge help during the pandemic visits and encouraged Elisabeth to get involved playing games with other residents.  

Cremation has taken place.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
