Obituary of Ruth Merkley

MERKLEY, Ruth (nee: Fyfe) Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House, with family by her side, on Friday, November 16, 2012 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of Keith for 55 years. Loving mother of Wayne (Ann), Cheryl (Rick), and Marilyn (Bryan). Ruth will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Dayne, Brody, Cayce, Bryce, Brett, Kyle (Shannon), Kim and Katie, and her great grandsons, Kayleb and Tayler. Predeceased by her mother and father, Anthony (Ed) and Matilda Fyfe (Schmitt), and her brothers Bill and Bob. Ruth will be missed by her cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends, including the "Couples Club" gang. The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr Simpson, and Mary Ellen at Elora Medical Group, the CCAC team, Grand River Hospital and Regional Cancer Centre and the Lisaard House staff and volunteers. A funeral service to celebrate Ruth's life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and a family interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
