Obituary of Kay Tuchlinsky

Passed away suddenly, while recovering from cardiac surgery, on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the age of 82. Wife of the late Ron Tuchlinsky (2002) and mother of Karen Earle (Barry) and Joan Tuchlinsky (Brian Black). Grandmother of Jason and Kelly Earle, Jennifer Spaulding (Chad), Steven (Cayley), Jeffrey, Laura (Tim), and Bethany (TJ) Black; great-grandmother of Sierra, Chase and Carter. Dear sister of Helen Menary, Grace Abs, Bill Omand (Trudy), Marj Fraser (Bob), and Bob Omand (Jean). Kay will be greatly missed by her large and loving Omand/Tuchlinsky family. Predeceased by her parents, Wilson and Edith (Hammond) Omand, and brothers Fraser, Jack, and Bruce. Kay had many good friends throughout her worklife at Canada Health & Accident, Smiles & Chuckles, KeyCom, Dominion Life, and Manulife. Kay was a "people person" who enjoyed spending time with her extraordinarily close siblings and all her friends from Cardinal Crescent, 75 York Street, Trinity United Church and beyond. More than anything, Kay loved being with family. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, December 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church, 74 Frederick St., Kitchener on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. (Paid parking for Trinity United Church is available at Market Square and Charles/Benton garages.) A reception will immediately follow in the church fellowship hall.
