Obituary of Grace Comeau

Passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights long Term Care Facility on December 1, 2012 at the age of 80. Grace Helen (Payne) Comeau, loving mother of Lawrence Comeau, & wife Debra, Daniel Comeau, Christopher Comeau and Kimberly Dallimore & husband Simon. Caring Grandmother of Jamie, Alaina and Shawn, Katrina, Amanda and Alyssa, Rebecca, Jacqueline and Chantal. Great Grandmother of Kori Morley, Trystan Mance, Capella Comeau and Lily Chapman. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Gladys Payne of New Brunswick and Jean Linkert & Marjorie Craig of Waterloo. Predeceased by her parents James & Ella Payne, her sisters Vera Westcott, Ruth Melanson, her brother Walter Payne and ex-husband Lawrence W. Comeau. Grace had a love of life, taking pleasure in family. She was quick to smile and had a song or dance for most occasions. Grace fondly recounted stories of her childhood growing up in St. John. She was patient and kind with her grandchildren. Her door was always open to family and friends to share a good cup of tea, a friendly chat, or to offer a meal. Grace embraced her family during summer weekends laughing and playing around the pool. She spoiled her family with her love, great food and her ability to make everyone welcome. Christmas especially, will never be the same as she loved to make each celebration a spectacular event. Friends are invited to share their memories of Grace with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday December 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday December 6, 2012 at 1pm with Rev. Phil Dallimore officiating. Interment to take place at Parkview Cemetery Waterloo. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room.
