Perry Taron

Obituary of Perry Taron

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present" - Bill Keane On Sunday, December 2, 2012, a man of courage and determination lost his battle with multiple sclerosis. Perry Robert Taron, beloved husband and soul mate of Michele (Leckie) Taron, loving father of Mackenzie and Jack, cherished son of Arthur Taron and Inge Haffner, fun-loving son-in-law of Ron and Joan Leckie, is also survived by his 3 sisters: Sylvia (Josep), Carolin and Angie (Darryl) and his brother in law Tom (Robin). His nieces Cozette, Samara and Miranda and his nephews Kelton, Daniel Otto, Eric and Matthew will also miss their courageous uncle. Perry fought an amazing 23 year battle with M.S. His upbeat, positive spirit touched everyone's hearts who met him and he was fortunate enough to enjoy many years with his wife and sons at home. He loved nothing more than chatting everyone up about his favourite teams: The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. Perry spent several years at Lanark Heights Long Term Care and was lovingly cared for by each and every staff member, for which the family will be forever grateful. Perry took the time to get to know everyone who crossed his path. His genuine interest in others is a legacy that he will take with him. We will miss his sweet smile, and gentle nature, but know that he is in a peaceful place, walking among other angels. Perry's life will be honoured at a memorial service at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church, 245 Lexington Road, Waterloo on Friday December 7, 2012 at 12 noon. A celebration reception will follow in the church hall. Condolences for the family and donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Region of Waterloo Chapter may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
