Obituary of Donald Gartung

Passed away peacefully, at Riverside Glen Long Term Care, Guelph on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Irene in 1993, Donald is survived by two sisters, his twin sister Dorothy Marshall and Barbara Smith and his brother John "Jack" (Ellen) Gartung as well as several nieces and nephews. Special thanks are extended to Don's dear friends Laurel, Brianne and Trevor for the kindness they have shown him. Don worked as a Manager for A&P in Parry Sound for several years and later worked with Weston's Bakery in Sales. He was a lifetime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Kitchener. Friends are invited to share their memories of Donald during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 pm with Rev. Nancy Kelly Officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home and interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
