Obituary of Donald MacGregor

1931-2013 Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Freeport Health Center of Grand River Hospital on Wednesday January 23rd, 2013. Beloved wife and best friend of Judy for 42 years. Dearly loved and survived by his sister Nancy Jacobi and her husband Ronald, nephew David Jacobi and his wife Karen, special great nephew Alexander Jacobi and constant companion doggie daughter, Daisy May. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Mary (Hintz) MacGregor, brother Douglas and wife Doreen MacGregor, father and mother-in-law, George and Doris Heimbecker. Don was retired after 43 years of service to Canadian Tire Corporation, Waterloo. We will forever cherish the fond memories of good times spent with family and friends at Saugeen Acres, Port Elgin over the years. The family would like to extend our grateful appreciation over the past six months to all the dedicated Doctors, Nurses and technicians at the St. Mary's Hospital, Grand River Hospital, Grand River Regional Cancer Center, Community Care Access Center and the special angels of Grand River Freeport Center who were there for us. Honouring Don's wishes, cremation will take place and a private family memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Mark Ehlebracht. Burial to be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
