Obituary of Helen Stoesser

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital on Friday February 15, 2013 at the age of 76. Helen is fondly remembered by her sister Dorothy (Richard) Weiler; her nieces and nephews: Jim (Lise) Weiler, Tom (Janice) Weiler, Matt (Karen) Weiler, Julia (Kyle) Martin, Denise (Tod) Daly, Stephen (Crystal) Karley and also her great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Otto and Amanda Stoesser (nee Straus), sister Irma (Gerard) Karley, brother Ralph Stoesser and great nephew Kyle Daly. Helen was a registered nurse for over 30 years in the maternity ward at KW Hospital. She was an accomplished knitter, and friends and family were the recipients of many beautiful handcrafted gifts. She loved to travel (especially if shopping was involved), and enjoyed live theatre. She also enjoyed time spent with her family, reading, and playing bridge. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E, Waterloo on Thursday February 21, 2013 at 10 .a.m., with the Rev. Christopher Buda CR as Celebrant. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow in the parish hall. In accordance with Helen's wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation and interment to follow at a later date.
