Das, Saroj Kumar 1942 - 2013 Passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at age 70. Loving husband of Sujata (nee Chaudhuri) for 37 years. Father of Mitun Das-Mallet, and Arun Das. Grandfather to Leena Mallet. Survived by sisters Bonani Biswas and Chonda Konar. Born on September 25th 1942, in Calcutta, India. Graduated from Bengal Engineering and Science University. Brought his young family to Cambridge, Ontario in 1982 and had lived there since. He was an honest and honourable man. His family was his pride, especially his granddaughter Leena. He took his responsibilities and commitments seriously and always kept a promise. He had a unique sense of humour. He was highly intelligent with an incomparable work ethic and always strove for perfection. Focused and stoic, he was stoic to the very end. He was one of those whom people could truly call A Good Man. Friends are invited to share their memories of Saroj with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on March 11th 2013 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm followed by prayers and cremation at Parkview Cemetery and Crematorium, 335 University Ave East, Waterloo. A reception will then be held in the Fireside Reception Room at the funeral home.
