Obituary of Anna Tillich

Anna passed away peacefully at home in Waterloo, on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the age of 81. Loving mother of Teresa Manning (Sam), Milt Tillich (Meme) and Joanne McCreery (John). Dear grandma to Laurie, Kerri, Heather, Jennifer, Carleigh, Christina and Anthony. Also survived by a brother Frank Tillich, a sister Katherine Chiacchia and dear longtime friend Christina Frey. Predeceased by her husband Toni Tillich, granddaughters Lisa McCreery and Trisha Ann Tillich, a brother Martin Tillich, sister-in-law Eleanor Tillich and also Anna's companion Erich Iljas. Anna was born in Chippawa, Ontario and grew up in Drumbo where she met and married Toni. They lived in Waterloo where she worked for many years at the University of Waterloo and made many friends. Her favorite times were spent together with her whole family at their cottage on Lake Huron. She is deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Anna's family will receive friends and share memories at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Saturday, May 11, at 2:30 p.m. the funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home followed by interment at Parkview Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
