MULLER, Roland died peacefully at Lisaard House on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the age of 70, with friends and family at his side. Here is a sonnet from our family in his honour: Your light is warm, intense, steadfast and clear; A prism to your mind refracts each hue: A teacher, painter, builder, friend so dear, Inventor, Grandpa, husband, father too. Your light still shines; your teachings guide our days; A prism to your heart reveals each shade: Your giving, loving, loyal, honest ways, A courage and a strength that never fade. And even when cruel fate threw spears at you, You bore the blows and bravely soldiered on. Your wit and humour always led you through. Your body's done; your light is never gone. A renaissance man in the truest sense, Committed to your quest for excellence. Love your daughters, Lara Muller-Starr and Lorna Muller, your grandsons, Kieran Bates and Nathan Starr, your son-in-laws, Dave Starr and Dave Bates, and your stepfather, Paul Mitchner. We know you are now reunited with your wife, Joan Muller, and Mom, Annaliese Mitchner. A Funeral Service will be held at First United Church, 16 William St., Waterloo, on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at the church.
