Remembered by his brother-in-law Peter Brill and Wendy Ohls of Waterloo, sister-in-law Janet and husband Fred Stroh of Kitchener and sister-in-law Patti and husband Will LaPoivre of Wallaceburg. A special thank you to longtime friend Garry Mahn for his continuing loving support on this journey. Growing up in Tecumseh, he made his way to Kitchener in the early 60's where he met and married Judy. Guy grew up in the Rock n' Roll era, notably adoring Elvis Presley. For many years he enjoyed playing in a band and entertaining family and friends. He worked extra hard to support his 3 children and their extra-curricular activities, at times, working 3 jobs. Guy retired from the City of Kitchener after 32 years as a sign writer. In retirement he enjoyed making family movies, art, drawing and drinking Tim Horton's coffee. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family. All who knew him will sadly miss his smile, love, patience and relentless sense of humour. Friends are invited to share their memories of Guy with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday June 12, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church on Thursday June 13, 2013 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Sutherland MacDonald, CR as Celebrant. Reception to follow in the Parish Gymnasium. Cremation and interment will take place at a later date. Condolences for the family and donations to the Hospice of Waterloo Region or St. Louis RC Church and may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Churnish, Dr. Strban, Dr. Langridge, & Erin Mackenzie of the Malignant Plural Infusion Clinic for all their support and compassionate care. Also the Red Cross Care Partners Team Seven, Doctor Kelleher and all Guy's personal support workers for their loving care. A special thank you to Barb and Heather.
