Obituary of E. Mavis Allan

Passed away peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at age 76. Beloved wife of Jim for 53 years; loved mother of Tim and Jennifer Allan, Matthew Allan and Julie Allan; cherished grandmother of Stephanie and Amanda Allan and dear sister of Loreen Janes, Anne Minns, and Allan Baker. Mavis will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and her extended family. Predeceased by her mother Alice Fairlie, her step father Al Fairlie, her father Mike Baker and her sister Mary Jane Sheppard. She was a Beta Sigma Phi Sorority member for 50 plus years, Mavis enjoyed many great times at their summer home in Grand Bend with her family and friends. Friends are invited to share their memories of Mavis with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joanne Peppler officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the funeral home. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
