Olive Marjorie Bacon, nee Dumbrell, passed away, peacefully, on Saturday July 13 2013 at the Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby Ontario at the age of 94. Olive, predeceased by her husband Ronald in 1983, was the loving mother of Anthony (Janis) Bacon and Cavill (John) Pretorius. 'Ouma' to Deon (Diane)Pretorius, Anita (Don) Huras, Derek Pretorius, Douglas (Molly) Pretorius, Gregory (Lee-Anne) Bacon, Mark Bacon, Melissa (Justin) Nuhn. Great Grandma to Katie and Edwin Huras. Born in Pretoria, South Africa, August 9 1918. Lived in Lusaka Zambia until coming to Canada in 1966. Olive lived her faith and loved her spiritual family dearly, as she was in 'constant attendance' at the Kingdom Hall, seldom missing, until her health no longer allowed for the activities she loved best. Olive will be fondly remembered for her feisty attitude to life, her twinkling blue eyes and very hospitable, generous nature. She was lovingly cared for by staff and others at the Jah-Jireh Seniors Ministry Association, in Beamsville, for the past four and a half years. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday August 3 2013 at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 185 Swallow Street Waterloo ON.
