Obituary of Myrtle Renshaw

Myrtle Irene (Bailey) Renshaw passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. She was in her 95th year. Myrtle had many interests and passions, including quilting and sailing. She was an active member of the Trent Valley Quilters Guild. She was also an excellent first mate and a participating member of the CFB Trenton Yacht Club. Myrtle is survived by her beloved husband Beverly, to whom she had been married 75 years; daughters Anne Shantz (Malcolm) and Frances "Bailey" Renshaw; grandchildren Christopher Shantz (Melanie), Andrew Shantz (Amy), and Kaija Siirala, and great-grandchildren William, Lauren, Elizabeth and Katherine Shantz. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her many friends and relatives. Her gracious manner and warm smile were appreciated by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the caring and supportive staff at Parkwood Suites and Grand River Hospital. A Memorial service will be held in the Great Hall at the Parkwood Mennonite Home, 720 New Hampshire St., Waterloo, on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Chaplain Bev Suderman-Gladwell will officiate the service.
