Obituary of Anna Nicoll

The family of Anna P. Nicoll of Kitchener are mourning the loss of a much loved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Anna passed away August 13, 2013 at the age of 91, after a lengthy illness. Anna was predeceased by Wes, her loving husband of 63 years. She will be greatly missed by daughter Sharon Barbour (Doug) of Edmonton; son David Nicoll (Candy) of Cambridge, Ont.; daughter Susan Nicoll (Michael) of Vancouver; son Stephen Nicoll (Maggie) of Toronto; grandchildren Christine Nicoll (Francois) of Cambridge, Ont.; Jaime Nicoll (Summer) of Kitchener; great grandchildren Ethan, Liam, Alexandra, and Samantha; sister Jessie London of Toronto; and many nieces and nephews. Born in East Point PEI, Anna had a varied career as a school teacher, piano teacher, market researcher, and, what she considered her most important job, homemaker. Anna loved her family, children, travel, music, reading, and lively debate. Wherever she went Anna was active in her church and community. As members of Highland Baptist Church she and Wes worked tirelessly to bring prayer and comfort to those who were unable to participate in regular church fellowship. Anna will be remembered for her love of life and her generous spirit. Friends are invited to share their memories of Anna with her family during a visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, August 18 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Highland Baptist Church, 135 Highland Rd. W., Kitchener, on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., the Rev. Das Sydney officiating. A reception in the church hall will follow the service.
