Obituary of Marjorie Fowlie

After a brief illness, Betty passed away at her home in Waterloo on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the age of 87. Much loved wife of Frank Fowlie for 67 years. Precious mom of Lynn Roy and husband Don, Frank Fowlie Jr. (deceased in 2002), and Blair McLaughlin and husband Peter. Inspirational grandma of Lyndsay Purcell and husband Ryan, Cayley Roy and friend Sean Lagan, Tayler Roy and friend Mike Balogh, Brooklyn McLaughlin, Owen McLaughlin and great-grandma of Ty Purcell. Lovingly remembered by Angela Wand and Julia Balcerzak. Dear sister of Bernice Norman and Don Mitchell and sister-in-law of Betty Mitchell. Also remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Vernon and Marjorie Mitchell; sister, Margaret Cross; brother, Ernie Mitchell; sister-in-law, Shirley Mitchell; and brothers-in-law, Harold Norman and Ted Cross. Betty was a lifelong member of All Saints' Anglican Church in Waterloo. She enjoyed quilting and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Betty with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at All Saints' Anglican Church, 400 Northfield Dr. W., Waterloo on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with The Reverend Canon Robin Lyons officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception will follow at the church.
