Obituary of Helen Soeder

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Helen Louise Soeder (born McKenzie). Helen passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2013. She was born April 15, 1934, daughter of Alberta McKenzie and William McKenzie in Blenheim, Ontario. She lived her early life in Blenheim and attended Blenheim District High School where she made many friends and stayed friends all her life with many of her classmates. She married John P. (Jack) Soeder in 1956. Helen and Jack lived in many places including Chatham, Sault Ste. Marie and finally settling down in her current place of residence in Waterloo. She was a loving mother to her two sons, John McKenzie Soeder and David Lee Soeder (wife Linda) and a doting grandmother to Daniel Richard Soeder (wife Heather) and Benjamin Soeder. She will be fondly remembered by the many friends she has made over the years including Richard Murphy of Ottawa, childhood friend Margaret Adams of Dorset and many others. Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service to celebrate her life at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Condolences for the family and donations to the Sick Kids Foundation (Toronto) may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
