Obituary of Mary Girodat

Peacefully, passed away at her residence, Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre (FHLTCC) on Saturday October 5, 2013 at the age of 103 years. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Girodat (1971), and predeceased by one grandson, and one great grandson. Daughter of the late Jacob and Annie (Lattner) Wunder. Also predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Dearly loved mother of Bernard (Mavis, deceased). Survived by three brothers, two sisters , and many nieces and nephews. Special grandma to numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by Donna. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's League. Mary's family thanks them for their spiritual care. There will be no visitation. Funeral and committal services will be held from the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday October 9, 2013 at 11 am, with Monsignor Edward Sheridan officiating. Reception to follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Sincere appreciation to the staff of FHLTCC for the care, friendship and support offered to Mary during her stay. Also thanks to Grand River Hospital, Mary's family, neighbours, and friends for all the kindness shown to her over the years. A special thanks to niece, Marlene Hickson, for her care of Mary over the past number of years.
